Most recruitment agencies in the UK that specialise in languages are based in London – however many deal with clients across the UK. Bear in mind that agencies charge clients a fee to place people in work, and at times if their clients are not looking for your languages or work experience, they will not be able to register you. No charges are made if you do choose to register, however.
There are degrees of specialism. Reputable agencies will test your ability, either face-to-face or over the telephone. They may also have tests that assess your linguistic competence. Some may simply register you online, and display vacancies on an advertising board for you to apply for.
