Hair and beauty
The hair and beauty industry is an exciting and competitive industry, and one which can take you anywhere in the world. Whether you are a Spa receptionist, an ambitious therapist hoping to set up your own business, or looking to work for a global company like L’Oréal, you will need excellent customer service skills, and languages are part of the ‘people skills’ so valued in this industry. A career in beauty offers incredible flexibility in terms of location – you can work virtually anywhere - from home, on a cruise ship, or on a tropical island! NVQ or SVQ qualifications are recognised right across the European Union (EU), so combining them with a language is an ideal mix. You’ll also gain experience of working in a different country and will learn new techniques and skills that can be used on your return home.
