I have been a hairdresser since I left school and set up as a mobile English-speaking hairdresser in Limousin. I have been living and working in France for 3 years.
How have languages helped in establishing your business?
People like chatting to their hairdresser in their own language, so I soon got a huge clientele. We knew hairdressing and computer skills were in high demand here.
What about your French?
We're not perfect - we'll always sound like English people speaking French - but we insist on speaking it and supporting every local business and group we can.
