Cultural awareness
We live in a multicultural and multilingual world. There are differences in the way we look at things whether we live in a small village, a large town or a big city. Understanding these differences helps us become better citizens. One way of doing this is through language learning. Not only are we able to communicate more easily, we also have a better understanding of people’s lifestyle and culture.
This cultural understanding can be of great benefit in your working life. This is because in order to work successfully in the expanding global economy, you need to appreciate ideas, traditions, customs and lifestyles that are often very different from your own.
