Black Country 14-19 Pathfinder project
This EAL winning project puts young people at the heart of the learning experience that places language learning within the context of real life, real work and real experience. Resources have been developed for use in the curriculum.
The Council for Advancement of Communication with Deaf People (CACDP) has prepared factsheets on getting qualified in BSL.
The Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies has also produced factsheets on languages, linguistics and area studies in higher education, in collaboration with CILT.

In order to support young peoples decision-making at a time of greater and more complex choices, this study by NFER explores how young people make the educational choices required of them at ages 14 and 16.
The INCA project, has developed a framework, a suite of assessment tools, including INCA on-line, and a portfolio for the assessment of intercultural competence linked to language and subject knowledge competence.

Providing information for UK students wishing to study abroad, this factsheet highlights the Erasmus and similar programmes, provides information regarding recognition of qualifications abroad, and sources of financial support.
With the support of AGCAS, Graduate Prospects produces ‘Using Languages’ and ‘Your degree in foreign languages … what next?’
For students nearing the end of Key Stage 3, “Which Way Now” provides information for Year 9 pupils and their parents or carers on future pathways, and details where they can find further guidance, advice and support. The magazine can be downloaded or ordered from this website.
Connexions also published the booklet ‘Working in Languages’, aimed at 13-19 year-olds, which provides case studies of people using languages in different occupations. It is made available to all maintained secondary schools free of charge, and can also be downloaded from the Careers DIY section of the Connexions website.
